About
My research focuses on historical and philosophical issues that arise in different areas of biological and cognitive sciences.
First, my work concentrates on the concepts of mechanism, explanation, and causation, which have been central to the New Mechanism.
Second, I am also interested in issues arising in artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and cognitive science by investigating a variety of philosophical concepts, including computation, learning, moral judgment, consciousness, and evolution.
Third, in order to analyze those concepts within both scientific fields, I use a mathematical framework from a structural point of view, especially category theory.
